Full scale shield
This is a washi paper assemblage made from a few thousand embryo shaped pieces and woven together with silk thread. It is stretched and suspended in space. The cocoon is a wrapped structure and sits in reference to the shield.
The Body as Shield
This is a maquette for a larger shield yet to be created. It was woven on the loom and it hangs in space reminding us of a bird, of a crucified figure and of a skin.
